OPERA & THEATRE
Emily works as a Music Director for Opera, Musicals, Theatre and Choirs, working with a wide range of musical styles and abilities.
For Opera Up Close Emily was Musical Director for West End and touring productions of Don Giovanni, Tosca, The Barber of Seville and the Olivier award-winning La Bohème.
Emily is Associate Music Director for Ocean Theatre Company and has been involved with this Ascot based production company for many years. Productions include Sweeney Todd, Our House, Gemini, Titanic, Beauty and the Beast, The Pirate Queen.
For Work of Genius productions Emily was Music Director for Wonderland, by Gyles Brandreth, which premiered at the Assembly Rooms as part of the Edinburgh Festival.
Emily regularly works for the Southbank Centre Voice Lab project, including as Assistant Music Director for The Big Wedding Weekend, and the Wow Festival at the Royal Festival Hall.
In 2013 Emily was Music Director for a unique production, The Events (Edinburgh Festival, The Young Vic Theatre and National tour), for Actors Touring Company. This play featured a different community choir on stage at every show.
Emily is currently Music Director of ‘Lemon Tuesdays’, a ladies choir in Rickmansworth.
Now in it’s fourth year, Emily leads ‘Forstissimo’, a mixed office based choir for Forsters LLP lawfirm.
Emily is also Associate Music Director for ‘Earthly Voices’, a community choir in Esher.
As part of Singingworks, a company which sets up and runs office based choirs, Emily started ‘The High Altitunes’ for Gatwick Airport Limited.
As a firm believer in the health and psychological benefits that singing as a group can provide, Emily has enjoyed running choirs at HMP New Hall, HMP Huntercombe and HMP Coldingley as well as workshops at HMP Holloway. http://www.choirsbeatingtime.org/
